PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas – Less than 12 months after NCAA Division I baseball games were played in the Bahamas for the first time, Atlantis Paradise Island welcomes the return of the Atlantis Collegiate Baseball Series with an expanded second weekend of games set for February and March 2027 at the Andre Rodgers National Baseball Stadium in Nassau.
Auburn will face Penn State in a season-opening, three-game series, Friday, Feb. 19 through Sunday, Feb. 21, while NC State will battle Michigan in a four-game series, Friday, March 5 through Sunday, March 7. The Wolfpack and Wolverines will play a doubleheader on Saturday, March 6. Game times and broadcast information will be announced later.

AUBURN vs. PENN STATE
Auburn advanced to the NCAA Super Regionals a year ago en route to posting a 42-22 overall mark and sixth-place league finish at 17-13 in the Southeastern Conference. During Butch Thompson’s 11 seasons at Auburn, the head coach has guided the Tigers to seven NCAA Tournament appearances in the last nine postseasons, with a pair of College World Series showings and five Super Regional appearances.
Fourth-year head coach Mike Gambino continues the building process of the Penn State baseball program. The Nittany Lions earned a 33-22 overall mark and 15-15 league record in 2025, registering their first 30-win season in 15 years and advancing to the semifinals of the Big Ten Tournament for the second season in a row. The 2026 season saw Penn State finish with 16 wins, including nine in Big Ten play.
NC STATE vs. MICHIGAN
NC State advanced to an NCAA regional last season while earning a 32-24 overall record and 14-16 league mark in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Long-time associate head coach Chris Hart taking the reins of the program from 30-year Wolfpack coach Elliott Avent, who guided NC State to 20 NCAA regionals, including 10 in the last 11 campaigns. Hart has been on the Wolfpack staff for 22 seasons and was known as one of the nation’s top assistant coaches and recruiting coordinators. He was an integral part of helping lead the Wolfpack to three of their four World Series’ appearances (2013, 2021, 2024).
Michigan registered a 34-24 record last season, including a 17-13 mark in Big Ten. Head Coach Tracy Smith enters his fifth season leading the Wolverines. He guided Michigan to a pair of top-4 finishes in the league during his first two campaigns in Ann Arbor. Entering his 30th season as a Division I baseball head coach, Smith owns eight NCAA regional appearances and a trip to the College World Series (Indiana, 2013). Michigan has eight College World Series appearances, two NCAA championships (1953, 1962) and finished as national runner-up in 2019. The Wolverines are led by Tate Carey who threw a no-hitter in his freshman season en route to Freshman All-American honors and Brayden Jefferis who finished top ten in batting average last season in the Big Ten and top ten nationally in defensive runs saved.
ABOUT THE VENUE
The state-of-the-art, 5,000-seat Andre Rodgers National Baseball Stadium opened in 2022 by playing host to the Caribbean Baseball Cup. The venue, which features a synthetic grass field, team locker rooms and executive suites, is used by Bahamian youth and aspiring pros in the Americas, highlighted by the occasional training appearance of current Bahamas star Jazz Chisolm Jr. of the New York Yankees.
