NASSAU, Bahamas – Canadian university squads from Calgary, Carleton, Victoria and Dalhousie as well Toros del Valle, a professional team from Colombia, and the Bahamas National Team will serve as the international competition for the Baha Mar Hoops Summer League which features Arkansas, Cincinnati, South Carolina, Texas A&M and Valparaiso. In all, the 11 teams at Baha Mar will play 13 games in the Baha Mar Convention, Arts and Entertainment Center during an 11-day span from July 31 through Aug. 10.
“For the last five years, Baha Mar has played host every November to one of the largest regular-season college basketball events in the sport, featuring 20 or more men’s and women’s NCAA Division I teams over a 10-day period,” said Brooks Downing, President/Founder of bdG Sports. “To see the enthusiasm grow year over year for our summer foreign tour slate has been nothing short of a testament to our world-class resort and the ease of getting to and from the incredible Bahamas.”
